Institute for East Strategic Studies in collaboration with the International Studies Institute of Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO) held a webinar under the title "Foreign actors’ policy towards the Taliban government; Analysis and perspectives."
Foreign actors’ policy towards the Taliban government; Analysis and perspectives
On Wednesday, December 6, a webinar was held about the developments in Afghanistan with the attendance of Iranian and Russian experts. In this webinar titled "Foreign actors’ policy towards the Taliban government; Analysis and perspectives", western countries' stances towards the Taliban government and its prospects, the possible consequences of this approach for Afghanistan and the region, the approach of non-western countries such as China, Iran and Russia towards the Taliban government, and the possibility and prospects of forming a consensus between western and non-western countries towards the Taliban government, were discussed.

Iranian experts attending this meeting were: Mr. Javad Jamali, Director of the Institute for East Strategic Studies, PirMohammad Malazehi, Senior expert on Afghanistan affairs, Abbas Fayyaz, Editor-in-chief of the Institute for East Strategic Studies, Jafar Haqpanah, Afghanistan expert and university professor, and Javid Hosseini, Researcher of the Institute for East Strategic Studies. And Russian experts were Georgi Machitidze, Senior Researcher of Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies of International Studies Institute of the Moscow State University of International Relations, Alexei Dondich, Head of the Department of Academic Maters’ Programs Evaluation of Moscow State University of International Relations, Vasily Khristoforov, Professor of the Russian State University of the Humanities and associate member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Alexander Kniazev, Senior researcher at the International Studies Institute of the Moscow State University of International Relations.
